FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is so different about Living Waters?

Living Waters staff are licensed mental health professionals who use their acquired skills in addition to prayer for and with the client. Living Waters has ten professionals with various personalities, strengths and talents who are then carefully selected for the client based upon their needs and goals.

Living Waters has the reputation of quickly responding to a client’s request.

What if the client does not want prayer?

The staff goes to “where the client is at in the spiritual journey”. Everyone is respected and their mental health is the first priority of the center.

Why is there a fee for a healing ministry counseling center?

Living Waters is not subsidized by any charitable or religious organizations. Nor is the center part of any larger agency or governmental entity. The fee is intended to provide a living wage for the staff and to cover operating expenses.

What is the religious orientation of the center?

Living Waters is Roman Catholic. The staff is grounded in the Catholic faith and tradition but embrace all God’s people in the ministry.

What about Health Insurance?

Insurance claims are submitted by Living Waters Center. We participate in many insurance networks and will be glad to work with you in this area. In addition some insurance plans include our services as out of network providers.

What is the fee scale?

Fees are based upon the services provided.

What is the frequency and duration of treatment?

One time per week is the usual frequency. The duration of the session is 50 – 60 minutes. Each case is individually assessed to determine frequency and duration.

What is the usual procedure for new clients?

The client’s first point of contact is with the office staff. The staff discusses with the director and clinical supervisor who would be best suited for the individuals needs.

Next point of contact is with a clinician who then does a thorough intake. After the intake, the administration reviews again if the therapist who did the intake would be the best fit. The assigned therapist gives the client a call usually within a few days of intake.

What if the client is uncomfortable with the assigned therapist?

The client is asked to call the Executive Director and to speak to her about the situation. If the client believes that he/she would do better with someone else, a change is initiated.

Beyond the call of duty.

I came to Carol for assistance in my need and she responded so deeply in action (beyond the call of duty) which has truly touched my heart.  I was in agonizing pain when I came to therapy and I have been able to work through the feelings and surrender the losses. I now have a new life. I am grateful for her skills, her compassion and her especially her patience.

Life Line

Finding my way to Living Waters was a journey  and what a blessed and wonderful journey. As everyone knows “life is a journey” and sometimes things happen more than once. Finding the right therapist once at Living Waters was a gift but finding it a second time was God’s provision.

Janice is a warrior for our goals. I always feel that after spending time with Janice she is traveling with me on this journey with patience and kindness, she is not just a bystander. Janice is a life line with a true heart.
