Living Waters is Wide… Town Wide!

Blog

When a person or family is in emotional or mental distress, Living Waters Counseling Center is there to provide therapeutic and spiritual support regardless of income or circumstances. To do this, our Center needs support as well, and one of the sources we turn to is the Townwide Fund of Huntington, Inc. For the past several years, we have been proud and grateful to receive grants from the Townwide Fund that enable us to provide the critically needed services to our clients.

The Townwide Fund has promoted “60 years of keeping the flame burning,” by supporting dozens of local not-for-profit organizations such as ours. Its mission is to raise the quality of life in the town of Huntington by funding vital health and human services for underserved residents through local charities, touching the lives of so many in need. Last year, the Fund gave over $100,000 in grants to 32 health and human service organizations, recognizing the recipients and their donors at the annual Harvest Night Celebration.

The Fund itself is supported by private donations, corporate sponsors, local businesses, and volunteers, truly a local effort, supporting local citizens of the Huntington and surrounding communities. We are thankful that the Fund has recognized the importance of the work we do at Living Waters, and those we serve in our own mission.
